    Delafield Hotel Mini Get Away

If you are traveling to Southeastern Wisconsin and are looking for a place to stay during the holidays (or anytime, really!), my boyfriend and I recently had the chance to stay at Hotel Delafield and I wanted to share our experience. The hotel is tucked away behind a small business district in the quaint little Wisconsin town and is within walking distance of Downtown Delafield. It is a boutique hotel with a chic bar/restaurant nestled inside. We only stayed for one night, but we made the most of it! We were able to check out the bar and the restaurant and then retire for the night and relax in our…

Christmas Mountain in the Wisconsin Dells

If you were to ask a Wisconsinite, they would probably tell you that a trip to the Wisconsin Dells is generally regarded as a summertime activity.  While it is true that a weekend in the Dells is the perfect “staycation” for a Wisconsin native during the summer, the Wisconsin Dells in the wintertime is extremely underrated and shouldn’t be overlooked! There is still a lot to do and see in the Dells during winter. It can be a lot of fun to experience it during the slower season. Obviously no one is rushing to the waterparks when the temperature is below freezing, but the Dells still has a lot to…

    With Love, From Wisconsin

I have always enjoyed Valentine’s Day. I think it’s such a fun and lighthearted holiday and the perfect excuse to tell ANYONE who is important to you how much they mean to you – I am definitely not on the train that Valentine’s Day is reserved only for couples. Although I really do like Valentine’s Day, I’m not a huge fan of how corporate/capitalist America has used it as an excuse to shove red and pink heart themed everything down your throat. If you plan on giving a gift (or gifts) for Valentine’s Day, like any other gift, it should be something that is thoughtful. That is why I have…

Birch Haven Retreat in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin

I had the pleasure of spending this past weekend a Birch Haven Retreat in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.  I had been there once before and this past weekend was every bit as fun as the first go-around! Birch Haven can basically be described as an Air B&B for crafters. The house has been completely renovated with the clear intent to accommodate a group of crafters for a weekend (or week long) crafting retreat. It is obvious that the person who designed the space did so with a group crafting event in mind. From the provided cup holder/trash bag combos that attach to your work table to the open living area that…

The Champion’s Club at Lambeau Field – the experience of a lifetime for a Green Bay Packers fan

If you’re from Wisconsin, I don’t have to explain to you the majesty that is Lambeau Field. It has been said time and time again how special of a place Lambeau Field is and how captivating the atmosphere of a home field Packer game can be. These are not exaggerations. Many football fans, Packer fans and non-Packer fans alike, come from near and far to experience a game at Lambeau Field. I myself have been to a handful of regular season Packer games. I have had the opportunity to sit in the lower level on the 50 yard line where I felt as if I could almost reach out and…

    My Favorite Wisconsin Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite lifelong traditions is taking a trip to the pumpkin patch with my family. For as long as I can remember, we have been going to Waldvogel’s Farm in Juneau, Wisconsin.  The place is so charming and they truly have something for everyone. From mini golf to goat feeding to a corn maze, Waldvogel’s has just about every fall-time activity you could possibly think of and then some! Full disclosure here, I have never been to any other pumpkin farm, but I honestly have no desire to go anywhere else.  My family and I make it a point to go to Waldvogel’s every year and every year…
