One Kimono style 3 different ways
Fashion

1 kimono, 7 ways

I have been wearing and sharing this kimono a TON since I bought it in the springtime.  It even appeared in my current Amazon favorites blog post that I shared a few months back. Anyone following along with me on Instagram knows that I absolutely love myself a good kimono. They are one of the most versatile pieces out there, in my opinion.  You can wear them year-round and dress them up or down. They can serve as statement pieces or completer accessories. I’ve even seen people style the same kimono as a top and as a swim coverup. I’ve been sharing this particular kimono a bunch, so I thought that I would round up all the ways that I have worn it so far!  So here it is – 1 kimono, 7 ways!

1. White on White

As I’m writing this post, I realize that I have worn this kimono to 2 country concerts.  This is probably my favorite of the two country concert outfits that I’ve worn including this kimono. While some of the bolder colors in the kimono might speak fall to some, I think that pairing it with white really helps subdue it a bit and makes for the perfect spring look.

2. Styled for summer with jean shorts and a tank

Dressing for summer can sometimes be difficult for me.  Of course, I want to look put together, but at the same time, I want to stay cool and wear as few layers as possible.  This kimono is the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe because it is extremely lightweight and can really serve as a completer piece to shorts and a tank.

3. With a pair of boyfriend jeans

I think that this might be my favorite look of all of these.  I know that mom jeans are quickly replacing boyfriend jeans, but don’t throw out your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans just yet!  Their looser fit makes them super breathable and perfect for the end of summer when you are ready to dress for fall, but the temperature outside isn’t quite cooperating. The boyfriend jeans paired with the colors in this kimono make for the perfect combo for a summer to fall transition look.

4. A springtime look with espadrilles

This is one of those outfits that I would totally throw on to run errands or go grocery shopping.  It’s put together, yet still super comfy and casual. Basically me in my element. Whenever I am struggling to find something to wear, a kimono paired with skinny jeans always seems like a good option!

5. A rocker chic look

This is the second look that I wore to a country concert.  I know that this outfit doesn’t really speak “country girl,” but I was going to see Eric Church, so I felt like the rocker vibes were appropriate.  The hat and the ripped jeans amp up the rocker vibes. It just does to show that a bohemian looking kimono can be completely transformed with the right accessories!

6. With a purple scallop skirt

Ok, I take back what I said about look #3!  I have a tie for my two favorite looks and this is one of the winners!  This skirt is so old. I had bought it on super clearance a few years ago and had nothing in my closet to go with it.  I have been looking for the perfect combo for it ever since I bought it and I think that I finally found it with this kimono.  The colors balance each other so nicely and I love the way the skirt spruces up the look of the kimono.

7. Super casual with a slouchy tee

I’m going to let you in on a secret about these shorts.  They are not my favorite because they ride up a bit. Not in a way that my butt cheeks are constantly showing, but it’s possible that they could if I’m not conscious of where the shorts are positioned at any point in time.  Kimonos are perfect to pair with shorts that are just slightly too short because they disguise any mishaps that might be happening as you go from a sitting to standing position. (I know that most women reading this know exactly what I am talking about!)

These are all the ways that I have worn this kimono so far, but I’m 99.9% positive that I will be finding more ways to wear it as we head into fall. The boho vibes and colors in it make it the perfect summer to fall transition piece.  I hope you enjoyed the ways that I have worn it so far!
